To prevent spam being sent by their customers, some internet service providers block outgoing email unless sent through their own servers. We have our own anti-spam protection, so we need to bypass your internet provider's restriction.
Click on the Tools menu at the top of the Outlook Express window. Click on the Accounts menu item.
Highlight the problematic email account from the list on the left. Click the Properties button on the right.
Click on the Advanced tab at the top of the window. Change the number for Outgoing server (SMTP) from 25 to 26. Click OK to close this window.
Click the Close button.
Try sending a test email. If the email doesn't send, please make a note of any error messages you get and call us on 01603 735576.
