Who are we

The Idea

InnerShed today, was a idea conceived in 1998 just outside Vancouver, Washington USA. The internet was a relatively new concept and an idea quickly formulated resulting in the birth of a company in Norfolk, England. This company was Easyroute Ltd, who offered various web services, including website design and build, to local business in and around Norwich and Norfolk.

In those early days - the late 90's - the idea of using the internet to promote and grow a business was a very hard sell. However, the internet concept soon began to catch on and we increased our website builds producing quality sites which our clients loved, many of whom still retain us for their website needs today. Long term relationships are what we continually strive to achieve with all our clients - Quality and Service are our goals.

The Name

We started in a cedar wood shed in the garden of our founders house and a great many websites and wonderful ideas got their start in life in a shed. As the company grew, we started to bulge at the seams and in 2008, we finally outgrew our nice little shed and relocated to a new premises in a business park just outside Norwich, United Kingdom. Brand new location - brand new name and therefore how fitting to acknowledge our roots and rename the company InnerShed! (in a shed)

A full office renovation took place in 2011/2012 which has given us high tech, energy efficient office complete with LED lighting, air conditioning, big posh iMacs, and a brand new efficient roof!

The Team

InnerShed has a great multi-national team of varying ages that blended together makes us into the company we are today. With such a diversity in backgrounds and experiences, there isn't much we haven't come across.

James Clabburn JP - Founder & Managing Director
James's background is in marketing and advertising. A subsequent 30 year career in the super yacht industry means he knows a thing or two about customer service and exceeding expectations. He is proactive and is usually found chatting to clients and even answering the phone. We don't hide our bosses behind receptionists and "meetings" - you can pick up the phone and talk to them!

Fiona Clabburn - Director
Fiona looks after the books, she is the one stop for accounts and payments. If you have a billing query, she is always on hand to help. Fiona's background was also in the superyacht industry where she worked with James. You would think all those years of working with James, she wouldn't look so young!

Ross Clabburn - Director & Project Manager
Ross is passionate about quality and always ensures that the whole experience is thought through and understood - especially when it comes to user experience. He looks after the majority of projects being worked on at InnerShed, involving lots of client work and in-house developments and projects. He is also the resident search marketeer, with the knowledge to help any business succeed in Google. Ross is PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner Qualified & an Associate Member of APM.

Jan Kueting - Head of Development
Jan is from Germany. That means two things - unbelievable efficiency and a great sense of humour. He is the brains behind many of the super complex projects that we undertake here at InnerShed, with database and algorithm writing a speciality. Little known fact - he rocked the old school PDA til 2012. Retro.

Luke Rumbelow - Designer
Luke is our in house designer. He is responsible for the majority of our website design concepts over the past few years. Turning a clients idea into a visual concept comes naturally for Luke. With a background in print and magazines, means that his designs are always stunning. Logos, adverts, banners, ecommerce graphics are all his forte.
